Events of a special kind.
Our event calendar promises lots of entertainment for all ages. The programme ranges from weekly, free guided hiking tours into the surrounding low and high mountain ranges, slide shows, wine tastings, early morning drinks, forest festivals, Tyrolean evenings, concerts in the castle, sight-seeing tours into the orchards, children’s afternoons (from mid July to mid August), horse riding courses and equestrian trips and organised Törggele parties to different kinds of concerts in the citizen’s chapel of Nals. On parish church festivals, religious processions, pilgrimages and marches by our music band, visitors have ample opportunity to keep an eye on our local traditions.
The highlights of 2009:
’South Tyrolean Mineral Days’ (28/03 – 29/03/2009).
This event is organised to give collectors and mineral lovers the opportunity to add to their collections through trade or exchange, to extend their knowledge and to make new contacts. Admission for collectors and visitors is free.
9th International Mountain Bike Rally of the Category E1 in Nals
(04/04 – 05/04/2009).
This mountain bike rally (E1 category) is at the same level as a European Cup run and offers athletes a preliminary stage for the entry to the World Cup. For this particular event, we have again invited some world champions and Olympic winners to participate. Further information: www.sunshineracers-nals.it
’Nals Asparagus Weeks’ (18/04 – 17/05/2009).
For this occasion, everything is centred around the asparagus. We have organised asparagus hiking trips and also very creative asparagus dishes. You will be able to enjoy this wonderful delicacy in most restaurants and pubs.
’Wine & Fashion’ – Wine Road Weeks 2009 (15/05/2009).
On 15th May 2009, the village of Nals in cooperation with the tourist board and the wine cellar Nals-Margreid, as well as the castle wine cellars of Castle Schwanburg offers you a special wine event, at the square in front of the town hall. The framework for this event is a fashion show. Locals and guests alike will be able to taste some exquisite wines at the various booths. Further information: www.suedtiroler-weinstrasse.it
10th International South Tyrolean Mountain Prize in Nals (Classic Motor Bike Rally) from 29th to 31th May 2009.
Mountain runs and consistency runs with Classic motor bikes (up to 1973) from Nals to Obersirmian. Apart from the local matadors, there will also be participants from Italy, England, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Nals Village Festival (08/08 – 09/08/2009).
The associations of Nals have organised this bi-annual festival for locals and guests alike. This street festival, which is held in the centre of our village, offers musical entertainment as well as some culinary specialities. In addition, there will be games and other performances for your entertainment.
Nalles Apple Weeks (01/09 – 13/09/2009).
On this occasion, the theme for the event is the South Tyrolean apple: apple hiking trips and creative apple dishes. Enjoy these specialities in many of our restaurants and Törggele cellars.
